As I'm sure many of you noticed - the whole Cruiskeen Consulting web infrastructure went down this morning. We're still checking through things, but at the moment we believe just about everything is now functioning.

We colocate our servers at IPHouse in Minneapolis. This morning at about 8:45 power to our rack went out, taking down all of our equipment. We're still waiting to find out what the exact cause of this power failure was.

Some of our power was restored around 10 AM, and the power to the rest of our rack just came back recently. We're still checking all of the services to make sure that they came up properly- the order in which power was restored to the servers caused a few problems with the services coming back up (particularly breaking the ability to send OUT email for a while since the virus scanner was not working) - but it now looks like just about everything is either up or in the process of coming back up.

We apologize for the problem. When we have a better understanding of what actually happened we will let you know.

We will extend all of the hosting contracts by one day - the longest outage we know of was about 1:30 hours.
