Live from MinneBar
I'm blogging live from MinneBar. Huge Crowd (about 400) making this the largest Barcamp ever outside of India.

[img_assist|nid=49|title=|desc=|link=node|align=left|width=200|height=267] At the moment William Gurstelle is talking about his new book Whoosh-Boom-Splat and just did a demo of his Night Lighter 36 Potato Cannon. It's interesting if nothing else. And fun. He's also talking about all kinds of other kinetic technologies, including flying cars, etc.
[img_assist|nid=51|title=|desc=|link=node|align=right|width=200|height=150] 10:30 -- Now in a panel discussion on web design - What's a Web Designer to Do? - Lots of interesting discussion going on.
2 PM - What Fun! David Heinemeier Hansson - partner in 37signals and Rails web [img_assist|nid=52|title=DHH|desc=|link=node|align=left|width=150|height=200]framework creator gives an interesting "sofa" talk about -- well, Rails, software development, what "Enterprise" computing really means (something about unconscionable profits, steaks, wine, and strippers) and lots else.
Attended a quite interesting demo of a product called CrashPlan - a fairly neat automatic backup system (more on that soon - http://www.crashplan.com) and some good food and as always great conversation with lots of new people.
Great robot display in the afternoon from the robotics lab at U of MN. Also a discussion about trying to develop a co-working space in Minneapollis, and a discussion about having a boot camp for startups in the cities, a scheme that Dan Grigsby is thinking up.
Altogether had a wonderful day at MinneBar. Good food and drinks, even better conversation. As always, it was a pleasure.
